Christmas

We are happy to report that our family enjoyed a wonderful Christmas at the station. The Fishlock family were in Queensland so it was a quiet day for ourselves and Kim's (Butch's sister) family. The kids enjoyed starting the day with the Santa presents. Hayden received a dump truck and dozer to move dirt with. Yarra opened a carrier for her doll. Next was a quick breakfast and then on to more present opening. As the picture of the Christmas tree above shows, there were plenty of gifts to open. Both Hayden and Yarra enjoyed ripping into the paper.
After the marathon of gift opening, we sat down to a large Christmas lunch. This was the first year that I had to prepare the meal. I have cooked many turkey's, but this was my first ham. I am happy to say that it turned out wonderfully. I did have to consult my mother about cooking instructions which ensured we would have a tasty meal. Hash brown potatoes, carrots and Garlic Cheese Biscuits (scones) accompanied the ham.
The afternoon brought a nap for most, soaking rain, more friends and a few drinks. All in all we had a wonderful Christmas day.
Boxing Day, the day after Christmas, we packed the new truck and headed north to Dundee Beach. There we camped for two nights. We enjoyed the company of friends, the beach, sun and fishing. I was also privileged enough to squeeze a little shopping in.
Hayden is trying out the T-Ball set he received. He has been busy perfecting his swing and is able to hit the ball a long way now.

Yarra showing off some of the gifts she received. Grandma Hendricks sent her a doll equip with many changes of clothing. As well as a purse. The doll carrier from Santa and the doll from Aunty Kim, Uncle Graham and kids. A new water bottle from Mom and Dad and bath Barbie's from the Kappes'.
